New to ADHD course


This course is designed to help you understand some of the basics about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It is intended for people who are thinking about being diagnosed or who have recently been diagnosed. It can be a confusing process and I wanted to help clarify some aspect of diagnosis, what you might feel, what happens day to day and then some things to think about to maintain your wellbeing.

It doesn’t cover everything about diagnosis and treatment and does not replace therapy.


My aim is to demystify things a little and answer some questions you might have been thinking about.

· The criteria for ADHD

· Getting a diagnosis

· How you might feel when diagnosed

· Telling family and friends

· Day to day Common Symptoms and Challenges

· Impact on Relationships

· Other conditions related to ADHD

· Taking care of your wellbeing


Format of the course

The course is designed to be short lectures, no more than 5 minutes each. It is a mix of video and a workbook to support your learning with some reflective activities. Total time is approximatley 1 hour.
