Qualifications and Experience

Brenda Taylor is a Melbourne based clinical psychologist offering tools and resources from her 15-plus years of counselling work as a psychologist. This set of resources is evolving and comes out of her work over the years with ADHD clients. She developed a passion for neurodiversity from her work, helping children and parents understand ADHD and finding strategies for daily life.

She has lived experience as a parent, as that is an important
part of her approach and philosophy. As her practice continued to grow, she started seeing adults with later diagnoses. This helped her understand the challenges
faced by many who have only found out later in life why somethings feel so challenging when they appear easy for others.

I earned my Masters in Psychology (Counselling), after first gaining a Graduate Diploma of Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology, and I have completed a Clinical registrar program.

I have worked with diverse groups of clients, covering many types of issues from depression, anxiety, body image issues, panic and interpersonal issues. I have worked in schools and tertiary education, in community health and in private
practice. I have loved working with many clients through counselling and assessment, and I continue to provide counselling and coaching currently.

Prior to being a psychologist, I was a learning designer and designed both online and classroom-based courses for large enterprises, educational institutions and government bodies for 12 years. I have worked teaching psychology for over a
decade. I have a passion for combining learning, growth, and development and incorporate pedagogy into the learning design of my courses.
